Don't be afraid to try something new. An amateur built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. What better time to step out into the unknown and try something new? Maybe you have a book inside you, just waiting to be written. Well, get out that pen and paper - or lap top - and get to work. Or maybe you've always wanted to learn how to play the drums. Well, go down to a local music store and sign up for lessons.
Because the thing about life is that time really isn't waiting for you. Or you. Or you. It's not waiting for any of us. And I think that too often we are afraid to do things because we don't think that these things lie within our realm of expertise. Or because we think we might fail.
Guess what? We might fail. But we might also become wildly successful. Or significant. Or laugh-so-hard-our-bellies-ache happy. I'm willing to take some risks. Because sometimes we can't always leave the great work of this world to the "professionals." Sometimes we need some amateurs out there taking some chances and mixing things up.
It's a beautiful world, you all. Time isn't waiting, and neither should we.
