How Being Grateful Can Make your Life Great


With every new year, most all of us spend SOME time focusing on resolutions and change. Although this process can take many forms, the common link seems to be about doing more, being better, reaching higher.

These are all worthy goals.

However, I’m going to challenge us today to flip the script a little bit. Amidst all this focus on change, I’d like you to take five minutes to write down all the things you are thankful for right now. These are things, people, and situations in your life that are perfect, or good, or even just acceptable, just the way they are.

See, sometimes in order to be great we have to stay in the moment. We have to remember that we are blessed in so many ways, that we have so many strengths and that we have people in our lives who we can love, and who can love us in return, exactly as we all are today.
